Q7. Do you support Google Home?

Yes. You can operate Nature Remo with voice instructions from Google Assistant equipped speakers including Google Home.

In order to use it, coordination setting between Google Home and Nature Remo is required. There are two ways of linking, each operating method and range of operation is different.

Q8. Do you support Amazon Echo?

Yes. From Amazon Echo and other Amazon Alexa-equipped speakers, you can operate Nature Remo with voice instructions.

Q37. What can I do from Amazon Echo?

Q10. Nature Remo does not appear in the list of WiFi access points.

"Remo-XXXXXX" is displayed in the list of Wi-Fi access points when the lamp of Nature Remo is yellow and slowly blinking.

 

If it is in a state other than slow yellow blinking slowly, try resetting Nature Remo.

Q 27. How to reset Nature Remo?

 

If you want to use already set up Nature Remo on other smartphone or tablet, you can operate from multiple devices by sharing Nature Remo account.

Q21. I want to use Remo on more than 1 device.

Q11. I can't connect WiFi with Nature Remo on my smartphone.

Are you sure to enter the password you enter when connecting your smartphone (tablet) and "Remo-XXXXXX"? All in one-byte lower case letters will be "natureremo".

If it is set to battery priority such as power saving setting and stamina mode, please turn it off during setup.

In case of Android, there is a case that it says "There is no internet connection at the connection destination", but we recommend you to set-up as it is.

In case of Android, if you receive a notification saying "Wi-Fi is not connected to the Internet," tap the notification and tap "Yes" at the selection of "Do you want to keep the connection?".

When Android and Nature Remo are connected via Wi-Fi When it says "Authentication problem / Obtaining IP address / Saved / Restricted access", etc., please refer to the following procedure and use Nature Remo's WiFi Delete setting, restart Android, please try connection again.

Q12. There's no home WiFi in the scanning result of the surrounding network.

Please confirm the following points respectively.

  1. Nature Remo only supports 2.4 GHz (IEEE 802.11b/g/n). Please check whether the Wi-Fi you want to connect is 5.0 GHz (IEEE802.11a/n/ac).
  2. When the SSID is set to the stealth state by the router setting, it is not displayed in the scan result. Please turn off SSID stealth setting when setting Nature Remo. After setting up Nature Remo, you can return the SSID to the stealth state without problems.
  3. It may not appear as a candidate in places with strong radio waves. Turn on the power of Nature Remo next to the router and try setup.

Q13. My screen won't get past "Tap Remo!"

Please confirm the following before configuration.

1. Use the cable that was sent with Remo.
2. Configure your Remo near your Wi-Fi router.
3. In the "Plub in Remo" screen (see below), unplug and replug your Remo.

After you complete the 3 steps above, on "Tap Remo" screen, place Remo on your left palm, and gently touch Remo with your right hand, covering the entire surface.

Q14. Setup fails after "Tap Remo!"

Please check whether security functions such as MAC address filtering are set in the WiFi router. Please turn off filtering.

If there is no problem with the network settings, start Nature Remo with the supplied cable and adapter next to the WiFi router and check the following procedure.

1. On a smartphone (tablet), copy the password so that there is no mistake in the WiFi password.

2. Restart the WiFi router.

3. In the Nature Remo application, please return to the screen of "Please insert the plug into the device." during setup and setup again according to the application.

4. On the WiFi password entry screen, paste the password you copied in 1.
(If you have already entered, please erase once and paste again)

Q15. I want to add a non-AC appliance

You can register non-AC appliances, such as TVs, fans, and Roomba.
Steps to register are the same as that of Remo won't recognize my AC remote control.

(The instruction manual assumes usage of an iPhone - buttons may differ slighly on Android devices.)

1.  Press the + button on the top right corner.

2. Press  the remote's power or stop button.

3. Press OK after the screen below appears.

4. Enter the name of the new appliance, and select an icon.

5. Enter the name for power on/off button, and select an icon.

6. Press the + button on the bottom left corner to register a new button.

7. Press the remote button in which you want to register.

8. Enter the name for the button, and select an icon.

9. Repeat steps 7 and 8 for other buttons that you wish to register.

Q16. Remo won't recognize my AC remote control

If Remo doesn't recognize your AC remote control, your infrared signal may not be properly recognized. Place your remote control close and perpendicular to Remo, then press the button.

If the above doesn't work, your remote control may not be registered in our database. Please contact customer support for further assistance, and use the learning function until your device is registered. To use the learning function, please follow the steps below.

Q17. Appliances don't respond when trying to operate appliance from app.

Is the infrared ray of Nature Remo reach the home electronics? Nature Remo is transmitting infrared light from the top. Please direct the top face of Nature Remo to the infrared receiver of appliances and check whether appliances react.

Moreover, it may operate by correctly learning infrared rays. If there are multiple infrared transmitters on the remote control, close them with tape etc. so that only one infrared transmitter is exposed, and shortly press the remote control button once and learn to Nature Remo again.

Q18. How to set up the rules?

A rule is a scheme that can automate 'when X happens', 'control home appliances'. You can setup rules by following the directions below (This feature is currently supported only on iOS).

This post will explain how to setup 'if you are near your house within a 200m radius, turn on your AC'.

Create a new rule

Click on the '+' button on the top right to create a new rule.

Set trigger settings

Tap 'trigger settings' to set the conditions in which the control will happen.

Tap 'arriving at home'.

Set the region that the trigger will happen. Pressing '+' or '-' can change the region. After setting the region, click on 'done' on the top right corner.

Set control settings

Tap 'control settings' to determine what will happen after the trigger event.

Choose which appliance will be controlled.

The screen below is when the user chooses an AC. Determine the temperature, volume, mode, and power on/off. In this example, the AC will turn on at 18C at auto volume on cool mode. Once you are done setting up, click on 'done' on the top right corner.

This is the confirmation screen. If there are no issues with your trigger and control, tap 'save' on the top right corner.

Congratulations! You are done setting up your rule.

Q19. How to set the scene?

When adding a scene from Nature Remo application, just by tapping the button of the scene, you can operate multiple appliances at once, such as "turn off all the air conditioners at home", or perform the same operation such as "raise the volume altogether" You can perform operations to make it many times.

In the scene, you can register up to 10 actions at once.
(On Android you can use it after the update scheduled in the summer of 2018)

Here we will show you how to create a scene that increases the volume of the TV by 3.

1. Tap "+" in the upper right corner of the control screen.

3. Name the scene and tap "Add Appliance".

4. Tap the TV and tap the button to increase the volume.

5. Repeat step 4 three times, tap "Save" after setting 3 volumes to rise.

6. Tap the scene created on the control screen, and it is completed when it is running.

Since it is possible to set only one appliance in the scene, it can also be used for short-cut applications such as setting only one appliance and operating appliances with one tap from the control screen.
